Job Description
Position: Aquatics Assistant Technician Assignment Term: June 1 – August 20 Pay: $15.00 per hour commensurate with experience Reports to: Regional Manager Location: Brainerd, MN PLM Lake and Land Management Corp. is an American, woman-owned and operated small business whose goal for over forty years has been to protect your property from the aesthetic and economic damage caused by invasive plant species. We provide a team of expert biologists, foresters, ecologists and managers to evaluate your environment, prioritize existing problems and develop plans to prevent new infestations. The candidate will provide support to aquatic applicators and managers in the field. In addition to providing support to applicators and managers, this position involves assisting landowners with technical questions, providing channels of communication and daily preparation for aquatic applications. The position is located in Brainerd, MN. Responsibilities Include • Assisting aquatic applicators with herbicide applications • Assisting with field surveys such as, invasive plant delineations and point intercept surveys • Making herbicide applications, with commercial certification and direct supervision • Daily preparation of field equipment, safety supplies and vehicles • General maintenance of equipment and office/warehouse Requirements • High School degree or equivalent • Must be 18 years of age • Clean driving record • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to traverse unstable walking environments • Excellent verbal communication skills • Ability to multi-task • Experience with navigating watercraft is an advantage but not necessary Compensation The prospective employee will receive competitive hourly wage that is commensurate with experience and can expect to work 35 or more hours per week.
