    LAKES AREA MANUFACTURING ALLIANCE (LAMA) was formed through the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce's Manufacturing Alliance. LAMA is growing its membership base and offering additional benefits to its members.

    Lakes Area Manufacturing Association:
    - Promotes manufacturing's economic importance to our region (Crow Wing, Cass, Morrison, Todd, Wadena and Aitkin counties)
    - Promotes career opportunities in manufacturing within our region
    - Provides a method of networking among the manufacturers within our region
    - Provides a central point of contact for communication & collaboration with the Brainerd Lakes Chamber of Commerce, BLAEDC, Bridges Career Academies & Workplace Connection, Enterprise Minnesota, MN DEED, MPMA, Dream It Do It MN, regional school districts, Central Lakes College and other supporting educational and civic organizations

    LAMA's Goals include:
    - Participating in educational and promotional efforts to raise public awareness of the importance of manufacturing to our region and state
    - Advancing student awareness of manufacturing through participation in Bridges Workplace Connection and Dream It Do It by supporting activities
    - Providing educational opportunities in STEM related fields of study by awarding manufacturing student scholarships
