Our Mission: To serve Brainerd residents and visitors by offering high-quality, affordable recreational opportunities, and a clean, well-maintained park system.

Our positions at Brainerd Parks and Recreation help develop skills that are difficult to get out of a classroom or cubicle position. We teach people skills. What does this mean? On a day-to-day basis in all of our positions employees problem solve, make adjustments, communicate effectively, motivate, and represent the City of Brainerd. After working in our department for a summer or winter you will quickly realize how nice it is to have a flexible employer that truly cares about your personal growth. We can work around camps, sports, family vacations, etc.

We also encompass the meaning of Teamwork at our office. If something needs to get done, don't be surprised if your supervisor will jump in right beside you to help. We pride ourselves on hiring young adults and by the time they leave for college or take on other employment we are willing to write letters of recommendation. We want to see you succeed.
