Minnesota Energy Resources is recruiting for Student Meter Painters in Wadena, Detroit Lakes, Rosemount, Grand Rapids, International Falls, Worthington, Fairmont, Pine City, Rochester and Chatfield, MN locations. These are full-time summer positions beginning in May or June. Summer students provide general assistance and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by various departments in the corporate and district offices, power plants, service center, warehouse, and surrounding locations. Responsibilities include: •Prepare surfaces for painting •Perform painting (primarily meter sets), cleaning, and housekeeping duties •Load, unload, and store material •Assist with janitorial tasks such as minor repairs, changing light bulbs, etc. •Enter data and operate computers •File documents Minimum Qualifications •Must be 18 years of age or older. •High School Diploma, HSED, or GED. •Enrolled as a part-time/full-time student pursuing a technical, associate, bachelor, or master degree. •A valid driver’s license. •This position requires you to use your personal vehicle to travel to various work sites throughout the day.
